Bio

Werner Wingender worked for over 45 years in the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) tax authorities, where he was employed in almost all areas. Special and long-term positions included tax auditing and tax investigation, from which he still benefits today. Together with Markus Bitzer, he set up and developed a joint department of the Bonn tax investigation department and the customs investigation office in Cologne before his departure.

Werner Wingender has been appointed as a tax consultant since 2023. From 2023 to 2024 he worked at "DER BITZER- Experten für Zoll und Steuer". In 2024, he founded the law firm Bitzer Mainfort GmbH together with Dr Andreas Striegel, Heiner Neuhaus and Markus Bitzer with a focus on legal and tax advice on customs, VAT and money laundering prevention.
